DMTC Main Stage Shrek, The Musical Audition Form (2025 - 2026)

The Davis Musical Theatre Company's mission is to conserve the Classic American Musical art form. DMTC will endeavor to produce quality, affordable, family-oriented theatrical musicals open to all people.

Please fill out the following form to audition for the Davis Musical Theatre Company (DMTC) Main Stage production of Shrek, The Musical.

You may additionally bring a resume to submit in person at auditions, but please still complete this audition form.

NOTE: Please audition either Sunday or Monday. Tuesday will be used as a possible additional dance audition date only if needed

Auditions are Sunday March 8 or Monday March 9 from 7:30 PM - 10:30 PM (approx.). You do not need to attend both days, but you do need to attend the entire time.
Possible additional audition date:Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at 7:30pm

Callbacks are Wednesday March 11 from 7:30 PM - 10:30 PM. Please note that peformers not called back may still be cast and not all performers called back will be cast.

Davis Musical Theatre Company (DMTC) is a community theater and an all­ volunteer organization. Everyone cast MUST participate in building and painting. Please initial each of the following:


I understand that I am required to assist with the production beyond just performing. I will be required to assist in one or more of the following: set building, painting, costumes, cleaning, Main Stage/YPT changeover.


I understand that participating in the production means that photos and videos will be taken and used for the purposes of promoting the production in flyers, newspapers, on Facebook, etc.


I understand that I must participate in STRIKE, which follows the final performance on Sunday, May 17, 2026 until it is complete (dismantling sets, returning costumes, theater cleaning, etc.).

Schedule/Conflicts

Please indicate any dates where you have a scheduled conflict during the rehearsal period. Leaving early or arriving late is a conflict. If the director offers you a role, it means that they will work around your listed conflicts. If you do not mention a conflict, unless you are ill or have an emergency situation, you are expected to be at rehearsal. No conflicts permitted during tech week or performances. If you have an unexcused conflict during Tech Week or a performance it will impact casting in future productions.

Rehearsals are held on most holidays - if you will be gone mark it as a conflict!
